This season sees Marine Power Services (MPS) well settled into their custom built new workshops, which are located just 100 yards from their original premises, along the road on the right, towards Cobbs Cross. Business owners Steve and Janetta Miller are now enjoying their extended office space, and further expanded workshop area, in order to take good care of their ever growing loyal market clientele. Steve himself, is an ex yacht engineer and Captain, with over 20 years in Antigua and many sea miles under his belt before that. Over the years MPS have remained in the fore, primarily by keeping up to date with all the latest systems technology / practices and by their ever positive 'can do' attitude for fulfilling their customer’s requirements. The MPS technical staff continue to expand their ongoing training courses, and the company are authorised dealers for Northern Lights, Caterpillar and Yanmar generators (also stocking a good selection of Yanmar spare parts).
This season now sees them offering storage for boats containers (with electrical power also available for the containers). Due to their excellent ‘trade credibility’ they carry out ongoing warranty works for new builds, along with a number of Shipyards, that include Royal Huisman, Nautor and Oyster. Their reputation for high quality stainless and aluminium fabrication continues to grow, and complex shapes are frequently being bent, rolled, cut, welded, turned and milled. For these works, they stock a comprehensive amount of stainless and aluminium, bronze, titanium and bearing plastics. They do custom fabrication, fixed frame stainless steel biminis; and are happy to undertake any custom job one might require, including exhaust systems complete with custom lagging and any 'on board' welding (for which they have a portable TIG welder, and carry specific stocks of welding elbows / flanges etc).
MPS also perform well in the field of hydraulics, looking after vangs, cylinders, backstays, steering pumps etc; and recognising this as an ever growing facet of engineering, now stock a good inventory of stainless fittings in both metric and imperial sizes, plus large amounts of Shell Tellus hydraulic oils. MPS will source any hard to find mechanical spares.
